Home Depot Helps End Youth Homelessness

Visit any of the 4 Home Depot stores in Brampton to help end youth homelessness. Participate in the Orange Door Campaign by buying a $2  paper door to support Rapport.


Annual General Meeting is June 21

Rapport's Annual General Meeting is once again being held in collaboration with six of our children and youth serving partners in service. Peel Children’s Centre, Nexus Youth Services, Associated Youth Services of Peel, Catholic Family Services of Peel-Dufferin, Peel CAS, and Our Place Peel will join us in a joint AGM and Celebration on Tuesday June 21st, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mississauga Convention Centre. This year our guest speaker will Karen Eisner, Regional Director, Central Region of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.


Rotary Walk for Rapport raises $13,000

On October 3rd, the Rotary Club of Brampton's Walk for Rapport raised almost $13,000. Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Brampton for organizing the walk, and to the community partners and volunteers who supported the event, including Peel Regional Police, Brampton Beast, Clinton's on Main and Salvation Army. Thank you also to the participants who walked on a cold, windy morning, and the donors who sponsored their participation.

ECLYPSE Mural at Farmer's Market

A portable mural created by the youth and facilitators at ECLYPSE was shown at the Brampton Farmer's Market. Thanks to the City of Brampton and The Bridge for partnering in this amazing youth art project.

Brampton A's Partner with Rapport

The Brampton A's basketball team is partnering with Rapport to offer discounted tickets to their game on December 20th. The A's will also be donating a portion of the discounted ticket sales to Rapport. If you're at the game, be sure watch the video board for a profile of Rapport. 


Maple Leaf Foods Donates Toys to ECLYPSE Youth

Maple Leaf Foods surprised the youth in all three ECLYPSE after school programs with toys. Employees from Maple Leaf visited the programs to give the toys to the youth. Thank you for your continued support!

North Park Students Raise $1,400 for Rapport

Thank you to the Business Venture students at North Park Secondary School for supporting Rapport through their Coffee Shop Challenge. Thank you to all of the students and staff at North Park who participated, and to premier Bill Davis and Mayor Linda Jeffrey for helping launch the challenge.

Rapport Exceeds United Way Fundraising Goal

Congratulations to our in-house United Way campaign co-chairs Sarah and Lisa, and Child & Youth Worker students (Kaila, Reshma, Cody and Karl) for helping Rapport raise over $5,000 for the United Way of Peel Region. Thank you to all those who donated, volunteered and participated in our events. 

Home Depot Canada Foundation Donates $5,000

In celebration of the opening of Home Depot's fourth Brampton store, the Home Depot Canada Foundation donated $5,000 to Rapport. Thank you for this generous contribution, which follows the support of the Foundation's Orange Door Campaign at Brampton's other Home Depot locations.

ECLYPSE After School Programs in The Feeding the Country Story

Maple Leaf Foods continuted to recognize the work of Rapport's Zulekha Suni in a video titled The Feeding the Country Grant Story.


Rapport receives $10,000 Feeding the County Grant

Rapport's Zulekha Suni was on Breakfast Televsion to receive a $10,000 grant from Maple Leaf Foods and Dr. Karyn Gordon. Maple Leaf launched a cross-Canada search for a Canadian making a difference in their community. Zulekha's daughter Sarah nominated her mother for the hard work she does in Rapport's ECLYPSE after-school programs.

Pachi rocks ECLYPSE Ridgewood in Malton

The students in ECLYPSE after-school programs received a special visit from Pachi, the mascot for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am games. Thank you for the generous donation of equipment that will provide continued enjoyment for the ECLYPSE students.

This resource contains contact information, program descriptions, available languages and a what-to-expect section to help guide children, youth and families to the right no-wait services in the region. View the  Peel Crisis Pocket Guide, and the Printing and Folding Instructions. The Guide was developed by the Peel Service Collaborative, co-chaired by Joan Manning, Rapport's Director of Clinical Services.

September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day

Positive Lifestyle in Active Youth (P.L.A.Y.) engages Ashworth Square Community

Rapport proudly sponsored a United Way funded Youth in Action grant this year called Positive Lifestyle in Active Youth (P.L.A.Y.), a youth-led project that brought fun, healthy and engaging activities to the Ashworth Square neighbourhood in Mississauga. The community celebrated the conclusion of a busy, fun-filled season with a wrap-up BBQ.

Congratulations to Melissa, Johnny, Tirae, Tirell, Nezy and their team for a fabulous program and a job well done. 

ECLYPSE Modern Batik Art Summer Program Concludes

Congratulations to the graduates of our ECLYPSE Modern Batik Art Summer Program in Malton. Many thanks to ECLYPSE (Mississauga) Manager Zulekha Suni for making this program happen, and to our dedicated art facilitators Raquel Vassell and Sarah Abdulkhalik. This year’s program was hosted by Malton Neighbourhood Services (MNS).

Thank you to MNS’s new Executive Director Jacquie Lewis for partnering with us, and for her leadership in creating the Modern Batik Art Program when Jacquie worked for Rapport six years ago.

Mandeep Singh Cheema Charitable Foundation Supports Rapport

Rapport Youth & Family Services received a generous cheque for $1,000 from the Mandeep Singh Cheema Charitable Foundation. The cheque was presentated at the Foundation's second annual Gala in memory of Mandeep Singh Cheema.

Rapport Thanks Retiring Board Members

Rapport's AGM on June 17th marked the retirement two long-serving members of the Board of Directors. Many thanks to Rosana Filipe, who served on the Board for 8 years, and to John Matos, who served on the Board for 10 years.

Rotary Walk for Rapport Raises over $10,000

On June 8th, the Rotary Club of Brampton hosted the first annual Rotary Walk for Rapport to support the ECLYPSE youth centres. The event raised over $10,000 thanks to the walkers from Rotary, Rapport and the community. Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Brampton for a generous donation, and for their superb organization of the walk.

ECLYPSE mural unveiled at Loafer's Lake Park

On June 7th a mural painted by youth from ECLYPSE was unveiled at Loafer's Lake Park. The artists were joined by Brampton Mayor Susan Fennell, local Councillors, and representatives from Rapport to celebrate the unveiling.


Rapport Celebrated Children's Mental Health Week, May 4-10

Rapport Youth & Family Services celebrated Children's Mental Health Week (CMHW) with activities including: a display of youth art at the Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA), a presentation at Lincoln Alexander SS, and an open house at the Tangerine Walk-in Clinic on May 8th.

Children's Mental Health Week is an initiative of Children's Mental Health Ontario. The goals are to spread awareness of the signs of child and youth mental health problems, decrease stigma and spread the message that help is available and treatment works. Chapters FUNdraiser

Rapport co-sponsored a fundraising event with Chapters on Tuesday, November 19th from 6:00pm-9:30pm, located at 52 Quarry Edge Drive in Brampton, ON. 10% of all money raised by our friends, family, and community supporters was donated to our in-house fundraiser for the United Way! Congratulations to the RHYTHM Project for the amazing dance shows last Wednesday evening at Celebration Square in Mississauga. Rapport is their proud sponsor through the Youth-in-Action grants funded by the Region of Peel and the United Way of Peel Region. Participants learned about dance as a positive outlet for emotion as a method of conflict resolution.  They are truly training youth to be leaders through dance. View video

The staff and Board of Directors of Rapport Youth & Family Services are excited to announce the relocation of the ECLYPSE Youth Centre(s). After 5 years at the Clark Plaza location, ECLYPSE is moving to 60 West Drive, Unit 101, in Brampton. ECLYPSE is a multi-service centre for 12-24 year olds living in Brampton. The centre(s) provide counselling support, multi-media, arts programing, employment services, and volunteer opportunities for youth. The centres are generously funded by the Region of Peel, the United Way of Peel Region, and the Chinguacousy Lion’s Club.

Rapport partnered with PCC and AYSP to open the first walk-in counselling service for children and youth in Peel - Tangerine Walk-In Counselling. Please visit the Tangerine website today by clicking here.



Rapport Youth & Family Services, along with our partners in service (Peel Children’s Centre, Associated Youth Services of Peel and Nexus Youth Services) has received new funding from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) as part of the Ontario government’s commitment of $257 million province-wide over three years to expand mental health and addiction services for children and youth. Our service growth will include: the expansion of our counselling service for youth (12-18 years of age) and, along with our partners, the creation of the first ever walk-in counselling service for children, youth and families. This service will be offered three days a week starting March 1st.

This new centre, generously funded by the United Way of Peel Region is a smaller version of the renowned ECLYPSE Centre in Bramalea. Please see more information below.
